Hello! I’m Hugo Fowler.
I’m a second-year mechanical engineering student studying at Northeastern University’s Boston campus.
My name is Hugo Fowler, and I’m a mechanical engineering student with a growing foundation in design, simulation, and hands‑on manufacturing. I’m especially interested in how ideas move from early CAD concepts into real, testable hardware, and I enjoy working between research, digital design, and practical build work.
I’ve gained experience across structural design, chassis development, and aerodynamics through roles as a Chassis Lead, Firewall Lead, and Aerodynamics team member on Northeastern Electric Racing. These projects have given me exposure to SolidWorks, Ansys Mechanical, drawing creation, supplier coordination, and the full workflow of taking components from models to manufactured parts. I’ve also developed practical skills in TIG welding, jigging for repeatable fabrication, and system‑wide integration during assembly.
I’m motivated by clear engineering, thoughtful manufacturing, and building systems that work reliably in the real world. As I continue developing my skills, I’m focused on becoming a well‑rounded engineer who can contribute across design, analysis, and fabrication, while learning from the people and processes around me.
